#Assign hotkey to pocket list in firefox free#
I'm glad that you appreciate the addon, as it takes me a lot of my free time to develop it, fix bugs, answer support requests, well, everything you have to do when you work on this kind of projects! If you love it and want to help: I love what you have done! How can I help? I'm in no way related nor affiliated to pocket or Mozilla, only an independant developer trying to bring something useful to the community. That's why I decided to develop this plugin. and I was really disappointed to see Pocket stop developing its own official Firefox addon, years ago. I've been a Pocket user for a very long time, back when it was still called "Read It Later". My name is Pierre-Adrien Buisson, I'm a French developer working mostly on web-related projects, Ruby and Javascript. In a word, it makes Pocket easier to use! # It also becomes really easy to add new pages while browsing, or to mark links as read. Instead of having to open the pocket website in a new browser tab, you can simply click the icon in your browser and get instant access to your Pocket list. This addon provides a quick and easy way to access your Pocket list right from your browser. It can be viewed while waiting in line, on the couch, during commutes or travel - even offline. Once saved to Pocket, the list of content is visible on any device - phone, tablet or computer. Pocket was founded in 2007 by Nate Weiner to help people save interesting articles, videos and more from the web for later enjoyment. You can save this content from your browser or other applications, and access them later. Finally, we are getting the same option in Mozilla Firefox.Pocket is a web service that allows you to store links in order to read them later. Google Chrome has the ability to assign keyboard shortcuts for extensions for at least 3 years. This useful feature is not exclusive to the Firefox browser. If you try to set such a sequence for an extension's action, the browser will warn you about the issue. Also, you cannot remap the built-in hotkeys like the Ctrl + T shortcut. It is worth mentioning that many extensions have no actions for which you can assign a keyboard shortcut. The browser doesn't execute any extension when you open its settings, about: pages, and so on. The assigned keyboard shortcuts will be available on any page you browse except internal pages of the browser.
Repeat the steps above for each action you need. It is not possible to use the Shift key for some reason. The sequence must include the Ctrl and/or Alt key. Type the desired keyboard sequence in the text box next to the action's name.Find the add-on that provides an action you want to assign a keyboard shortcut to.In the Add-ons manager, click on the Keyboard Shortcuts.
